IDI membership will give you the access to the IDI website, the perfect tool for your practice. IDI annual subscription provides all the main information about commercial agency, distribution, franchising and similar contracts, useful to companies and professionals involved in distribution.

Usually, IDI Annual Conference is attended by 150-180 in-house counsels and lawyers in private practice, coming from everywhere in the world.

IDI is an association founded in 2004 by Prof. Fabio Bortolotti, Silvia Bortolotti, Prof. Didier Ferrier, Klaus Meyer Swantee and Erwin Gärtner to dealing with matters involving commercial agency, distributorship and franchising. The main purpose of IDI is to develop and keep updated a website (www.idiproject.com), where its members can find all the legal information and materials about international distribution law. In order to meeting this purpose, IDI cooperates with a Board of Country Experts, highly qualified lawyers and legal counsels dealing with international distribution law.
On the IDI website you can find domestic, European and international legislation, model contracts, country reports, case law and all the news on matters concerning international distribution.
Moreover, IDI Members receive a monthly newsletter to be always up-to-date on distribution issues.
Finally, IDI organizes each year a Conference on topical issues about international distribution.

The annual membership fee is 900€. The annual fee for any additional members within the same premises of the same organization is 300€. Providing that you participated to the annual Conference with the full fee of 900 € and that you subscribe to the IDI website within December 31 of the current year, the membership fee is 500 €. The subscription runs from the day of the payment to the same day of the following year (i.e. if you subscribe on December 26, 2018, your subscription will expire on December 26, 2019).VAT Information Exchange System (VIES)

• Fill-in the boxes with your personal information
• Click on “Continue”
• Fill-in your company information and click on “Create new account”
• The following page will allow you to create or add (if already existent) one or more additional member/s with a specific discount of 300€ (NB: this discount is valid ONLY for lawyers/colleagues from the same law firm/company, same offices, city and Zip code).
• If you want to add one or more members click on “add new member” and do the same procedure you did for the first user. You can do this procedure for every additional user you want to add.
• If the person you want to add as additional subscriber has already an account on IDI, you will find his/her name under the name of the first subscriber. Please, flag it.
• If you don’t want to add new members, or after having added all the additional members, please click on “Continue”
• The following page will contain the shopping cart with the membership fee: click on CHECKOUT
• The next page will contain the invoicing details: you can check them and eventually modify them. Finally you will be able to select the payment method: Credit Card or SEPA Debit.
• If you click on “credit card”, you can access directly to the online banking, perform the payment and have a direct access on the website.
  If you decide to pay by SEPA Debit, you will be requested to enter your IBAN and to finalize the transfer. As soon as the amount will be credited on our account, you will be notified by email and will be able to access the website.

During the subscription procedure you will be requested to add your invoicing details.
You will be able to choose among “private” and “company”.
Company: the invoice will be addressed using your company details.
Private: the invoice will be addressed using the subscriber personal information. Kindly note that in both cases there have to be a precise correspondence among VAT and the other information (i.e. Company name, address etc..)

22% VAT will be applied to Italian members only.
22% VAT will be also applied to all the non-Italian members whose VAT is not registered in the EU VIES Registry.
